We are so excited to have partnered with One Tree Planted, a non -profit organization focused on reforesting the planet. One Tree Planted work with reforestation partners in South America, North America, Africa and Asia to plant trees. Trees can be planted by loyal volunteers or professionals depending on the scale of the project. Working with local communities who understand the local ecology helps to increase the likelihood of tree survival. We have chosen specifically for our customers donations to plant trees in the Amazon Rainforest.

Why are we planting trees?

This partnership was a direct response to the news that the Amazon rainforest has seen a spike in deforestation due to wild fields, but mainly, clearing for cattle grazing. We wanted to do something! Trees produced the worlds oxygen as well as absorbing our CO2, they are incredibly important in our fight against the climate crisis. Trees provide jobs for local people, and food security. Trees filter water, prevent floods and maintain Earths water cycles. Trees provide habitats for many birds, insects, fungi, Moss and plants. We at Zero Waste Market don't take any of your donation, it all goes directly to One Tree Planted. We have pledged to donate one tree for every online order. As well you can add extra trees by adding this product to your basket.
